It was a warm and sunny fall afternoon for the award presentation and opening of
the Exhibition which took place at the Todmordon Mills Museum Papermill Art
Gallery on Saturday September 30.
The Toronto city owned Gallery is a beautiful space in which to exhibit. The
works selected by the jurors in Alberta is of the highest standard, and is
very much worth a visit. The exhibition continues until October 15.
83 works by 62 artists were selected for the exhibition from 117 artists who
submitted 227 slides. Of the 117 entries, 77 were by non-members, 28 by
elected members and 12 by associate members.
Martha McFall, granddaughter of Bill and Antionette (Toni) Stevens, spoke about
her grandmother and how they used to paint together. Martha presented the
Stevens family annual awards. Debra
Archibald, SCA received the Best Painting in Acrylic award.

Bill Buchanan acted as host. He named and thanked the Alberta jurors, the Toronto
awards jurors and Karin Richter, SCA, Angela Hennessey, SCA, John Lennard, SCA &
Eva Beyerle-Rutherford, SCA for their sterling, and much appreciated work in
making this exhibition happen.
