Parry Sound Station Gallery - SCA "Small Works" show Opening on Saturday, September 2, 2006
Although the weatherman threatened rain, it turned out to be a lovely day
for a drive to the show in Parry Sound, which is situated in the heart of
some of Ontario’s most beautiful cottage country!
The gallery is a heritage train station, which lends itself well to this
purpose. The 60 works by 23 of our Elected Members made an impressive show!
In attendance were some of our members, and visitors from the town and area.
Angela Hennessey, the SCA Exhibitions Chair, provided information about the
Society, and the President of the Station Gallery’s Board of Directors
presented the awards:
1st Prize: "Amber Lace" by Nadia Bechirian-Tiseo*
2nd Prize: "Serenade" by Helen Novakiwsky
3rd Prize: "Memories #2" by Gail George
Honorable Mentions:
- "Concerned Crowd" by Tina Newlove
- "Memories of Water #4" by Linda Finn
- "Sailing" by Ning Zhao
- "Etude #2" by Andrij Babytsch

- "Morning Walk" by Ursula Reese
* Nadia Bechirian-Tiseo also won the "Invitation Award"

until October 1. Information regarding hours can be obtained at
