Leah Dockrill, a former highschool teacher and lawyer, also has been engaged in the visual arts since the mid 1970’s. She has studied art at the University of Alberta, the Art Gallery of Ontario’s Tanenbaum
School, and the Toronto School of Art. Since 1995, painting has been Leah’s exclusive occupation. Her paintings include watercolours on paper and acrylics on canvas, and her subject matter is diverse,
including agricultural animals, landscape, florals and the human figure.
Leah has participated in several group and juried art shows, and has exhibited her paintings in many commercial galleries. She has been an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists since 2000.
Her cattle paintings have been featured in two dairy industry periodicals, and her still life paintings have been printed as greeting cards by a Montreal-based publisher, Pierre Belvedere, Inc.
