Phyllis Ljuden-Elderkin was born at Christopher Lake, Sask. In 1940 and grew up in Wester Canada. Her love of sunshine and shadow is evident in the detailed and dramatic watercolours or acrylics she paints.
Ljuden-Elderkin has won "SFCA Signature Status" with the Federation of Canadian Artists and Signature Status with the Society of Canadian Artists, the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour and the Alberta Society of Artists.
Her works have been selected for provincial art collections and grants; numerous posters and calendars in Canada and the USA; publications in International Artist magazine and two of their books, and Guest International Artist in Australian Artist magazine; plus inclusion in, "The Alberta Society of Artists: The First 70 Years".
She has won numerous awards including some Internationally, and is in private and corporate collections in Canada, the USA, Sweden, Great Britain, Japan and more.
