Wendy Boyd has a Masters degree from the Royal College of Art in London, England, and also attended Wimbledon School of Art and the University of London, specialising in the designing and making stained glass windows and glass mosaic. She has executed stained glass commissions for both churches and private homes. In recent years she has concentrated on working from the model in pastel and painting acrylics.
She has developed a technique that combines acrylic paints, gels and mediums from which she makes acrylic mosaics and appliqués, examples of which are shown here. The other four works are in pastel and drawn directly from models.
Wendy Boyd is also a member of the Ontario Society of Artists and the Arts and Letters Club of Toronto.
