Membership Period
The Society of Canadian Artists’ membership year runs from May 1 to April 30. All membership dues must be paid by April 30 for the following year.
Exciting Updates in 2026!
This year’s renewal comes with something to look forward to — we are launching a significant upgrade to your membership experience, including a brand-new payment and member profile system, expanded benefits, and a reimagined member directory. Here’s everything you need to know:
Phase 1 — April 1: Renew Your Membership in the New System
Beginning April 1, all members are asked to create an account in our new membership platform and complete their renewal payment there. Creating your account is simple — your profile will be set up automatically when you make your payment.
A Quick Note — Don’t Be Surprised by Your Welcome Email!
Because this is a brand-new platform, everyone — including our longest-standing members — will be signing in for the very first time. When you complete your registration and payment, you will automatically receive a “Welcome New Member” email from the system. This is simply the platform recognizing your first login. It does not mean your membership history has been lost or that you are being treated as new to the SCA. You are very much a valued and recognized member of our community, and we appreciate your patience as we make this exciting transition together.
Please also note: During the month of April, the current member directories will be temporarily taken offline as we prepare to build the new, expanded directory. We appreciate your understanding during this transition.
Phase 2 — May 1: Build Your New Member Profile
Starting May 1, you’ll be able to log in to your new account and complete your member profile — which will be showcased in our brand-new, searchable member directory.
The new directory is a major step forward for your visibility. Members will be searchable by artist name, medium, genre, region, and more, making it easier than ever for collectors, galleries, the public – and each other – to discover your work.
From May 1 onward, all members will be able to manage their own profiles at any time.
What’s Included by Membership Tier
Your new profile comes with image upload capabilities based on your membership level:
- Associate Members — upload up to 6 images
- Elected Members — upload up to 12 images
-> this includes Honorary and Life Members! - Elected Members with Gallery Option — upload up to 30 images
All members can include their website, and 6 different Social Media profile links.
Full details on what’s included with each tier will be available within the new system.
Honorary and Life Members: We will personally reach out to you in April to get you set up!
Renew Before April 30
To ensure uninterrupted membership and be ready to build your new profile when the directory launches on May 1, please complete your renewal by April 30, 2026.
