Eunah Cho is a contemporary artist born in Seoul, South Korea. After receiving her M.F.A. from Kyung-Hee University, she moved to Canada in 2003 and now resides in Vaughan, Ontario. Cho has participated in 12 solo exhibitions, over 200 selected group exhibitions, and 23 international art fairs.
Her work explores the expressive possibilities of mixed media by combining acrylic, colored pigment, Hanji paper, and other mediums. Her paintings are not an outward representation of a thing, but a representation of ‘the stream of consciousness through image’. She states: “Living with hopes and dreams is the key to happiness and the fulfillment of life. However, society is constantly changing and the thought of having limited time becomes a burden. Amidst the current age of uncertainty and the contemporary struggle of emptiness, what is needed is the pursuit of something eternal. Therefore, believing in timelessness is essential to living a purposeful and motivated life.” This concept is visualized through birds, which symbolize hope, freedom, and eternal life.
Her work can be found in private and corporate collections worldwide, on Instagram @eunahart, and at www.eunahart.com.
