A landscape and plein air artist who creates art for busy creatives to instantly connect you to the natural world and bring this touch of nature into your space.

Marissa Sweet is a fine art landscape and plein air artist with a deep connection to nature. Based in Ontario, Canada, she brings her passion for the outdoors into her art, often finding inspiration in her hiking, canoeing, and camping trips. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Marissa also dedicates herself to helping others discover their creative potential through painting workshops and classes.

Recently awarded a signature membership in the Society of Canadian Artists, for exceptional contributions to the SCA. Marissa's roles within the association from Newsletter, Social Media, Website, Vice-President and President has significantly shaped the trajectory of the society.  As President, her ability to navigate complex situations and make critical decisions during the trying times during the global pandemic, ensured the SCA continued to thrive amidst adversity, showcasing exceptional resilience and fortitude.

She was one of 18 artists to compete in the inaugural "Landscape of the Year Canada" TV series on CBC, and her plein air works were exhibited at the Oshawa Civic Centre in 2024, as part of the city's 100th anniversary. Her ambitions also extend internationally, as she looks forward to hosting more plein air retreats and achieving her dream of a solo art show in her birth home, the Philippines.

Marissa's passion for art, her community, and the natural world are central to both her life and work.
