My interest in art started in childhood, and growing up I spent all my free time either drawing or
painting. After finishing high school, my parents, having always encouraged my passion, sent me
to Government College of Arts and Crafts in Chennai—one of the first, and oldest, schools for
fine arts founded in India. There, I had the great privilege to learn under some wonderful
teachers, and I soon developed an interest in digital art and visual effects. I earned a BFA in
Visual Communication Design, and then decided to further my education at Seneca College in
Toronto. I worked for many years in VFX, developing my visual storytelling skills, and in my
spare time nurtured my passion for painting by exploring different mediums. After I married and
had two children, I moved from Toronto to Bowmanville, but my artistic rituals continue. I paint
almost every day, practicing with oil, acrylic, and gouache/watercolor paints, and constantly
seek to stretch myself and my skills. I love being a painter, and I give back to the artistic
community by teaching painting at local art spaces.

I work on Oil, Acrylic on Canvas/panels. And I am Constantly seeking to explore my search with my
process of painting through expressive brushwork and exploring new materials.
