Associate Membership
Associate membership is geared toward emerging artists who have not undergone adjudication for Elected membership. We also welcome art supporters and aficionados to join.
Membership is open to Canadian citizens or Canadian residents.
Associate membership dues are $55 annually. Our membership year runs from May 1 to April 30.

Benefits of Membership
The Society of Canadian Artists (SCA) is one of Canada’s most respected fine art organizations, and Associate Membership is a warm and welcoming first step into a national community that genuinely supports its artists.
Who Can Join Associate Membership is open to all Canadian citizens and residents — whether you are an emerging artist, a seasoned creator who hasn’t yet pursued Elected Membership, or simply an art supporter and aficionado. There is no jury process — admission is automatic, and you can join at any time throughout the year.
Exhibitions Associate Members are eligible to participate in respected member-only gallery and online exhibitions, with access to Society awards in both open and members-only shows. Acceptance into three SCA juried exhibitions within five years also opens a direct pathway to applying for Elected Membership.
Member Profile & Online Gallery Every Associate Member receives a profile in the SCA’s searchable national member directory, where your work is visible to collectors, galleries, and fellow artists. Associates can upload up to 6 artwork images, include a bio, a website link, and up to 6 social media links.
Networking & Community You gain access to a national network of professional and semi-professional artists working across a wide range of mediums and styles, plus a private Facebook community where members interact and share their work. You’ll also receive newsletters, email updates, invitations to Society exhibitions and events, and access to professional development resources and electronic publications.
Have a Voice Associate Members can volunteer, serve on committees, and even stand for election to the SCA Board of Directors — a real opportunity to help shape the future of the organization.
A Pathway Forward Associate Membership is the starting point toward Elected Membership — which brings SCA accreditation for your signature and CV, access to over $40,000 in annual awards, and an expanded online gallery of up to 12 images.

Joining the Society of Canadian Artists is as simple as completing the form below and paying your membership dues by either credit card or e-transfer.
You will receive instructions on how to complete your payment by e-transfer when you select that option.
